I have another a special fabric treat for you this month! I'm getting a roll of Merchant and Mills Jupiter Organic Cotton Gingham Seersucker and want to share the bounty with my lovely subscribers. 🤗

I only just realised I should have listed their patterns to use with this as well - Hattie, Celeste, Honey... so many of their designs are well suited to this fabric!

Patterns are now live on the shop and I'll add them to your fabric order and reimburse shipping if you've already purchased your fabric and want one of their patterns for the fabric at a discount too!

I've seen this in real life and it is exquisite. Light and airy but not see-through - perfect for summer makes. I am only getting it in the Navy/Tan. The blue is a bit darker in real life than it appears on my screen.

I'm planning to make a Bob Pant/ Linn Tee combination like Beyond 9's coordinated sets! Or maybe a dress like those shown by OFFON Linen.

It would also look amazing as top, skirt or dress, like those shown by OFFON Linen.

Our Indian handlooms are delicate and lightweight, so perfect for Summer sewing. They can be used for scarves, tops or dresses with some fullness. You can also use them for patchwork or home projects like semi sheer curtains.

Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.

For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt.

This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.

As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project. (you can get samples from Merchant and Mills - not here. ☺️)
