Beyul
Baby Yak / Silk / ethically sourced superwash Merino
100g = 366 meters (400 yards)
Colourway: one of a kind (ooak) - natural warm grey with speckles of fluorescent yellow, pink, green and teal. #beyulyarn
A single Yak produces a mere 100g of down a year - one average skein of fingering weight yarn - making it a rare and precious fibre!
This super soft heathered yarn combines the best of 3 fibres – the gentle halo of high quality Yak down, a subtle shimmer from silk, and the bouncy goodness of the softest superwash Merino. Beyul is a dyer’s dream, taking dye with an intoxicating richness that takes your breath away.
Please note that the colour settings on your monitor may not display hues accurately and that as a hand-dyed product the colour intensity can very from skein to skein. Please email me directly before purchasing if you have any colour concerns. Thanks!
Kettle Tripoint - Cowl modifications |
Work the Kettle Tripoint shawl as written until triangle is the right length to cover the front of your neck and ends reach around your neck. Make sure you can slip the 'cowl' comfortably over your head when you hold the two ends together. I’ve knit until the triangle measures 25cm from point straight up to flat edge Working on a circular needle, join the ends in the round, making sure nothing is twisted. Continue working in the round knitting and purling each round as needed to continue the garter stitch seamlessly. Work to desired length, then bind off with Russian Bind off, as in the pattern. |
