Autumn knitting begins! Yesss!
The time of year we’ve all been waiting for has arrived in our hemisphere – AUTUMN KNITTING. Always the best time of the knitting year, there is a glut of exciting newness to get our creative juices revved.
Here is a new FO that I am really looking forward to wearing this fall. Some of you may have seen Angelus Novus cardi on Ravelry and in the real at the last couple events. Another Renée Callahan brainwave, I’ve knit my buddy’s gorgeous design in my Waltham Aran – the softest British Bluefaced Leicester.
This cardi is a real showstopper. The size small, which I made for the sample, seemed to fit a huge variety of sizes and shapes due to it’s unique shaping.
The cardi begins with a garter-tab cast on at the lower back and grows up and around the body. It flatters many body types and can be worn with a casual comfort or as an elegant layer. Worn open, it has the effect of a waterfall front, or can be secured with a beautiful shawl pin – like my Ewe BAApin, Winter is Coming (below) or Lilith’s Garden pins.
The latter is on back order at the moment and will be back in stock in a couple weeks, and there is only one of the Winter pins below left, but that will also be on backorder once it is gone, so fret not.
I’ve got the new dark green Spruce from the sample above now in shop…
…and have also dyed a new royal blue Lapis for your Angelus or Brynja knitting pleasure. ;-P
Find both new hues in shop now along with restocked hues in most of the usual offer.
