Introducing New Kid Mohair / Silk – Hythe
Introducing some fabulous new Kid Mohair / Silk lace this week! The softest kid mohair you’ll ever feel, Hythe is spun with shimmering silk, then brushed to a form a nebulous cloud.
I’ve started with grey, of course
50 grams = 420 m • 459 yds
Colourway: Cormorant – slightly cool grey.
This hue goes beautifully with all the fingering greys in stock.
Its closest matches are Islington Old Smoke and Baskerville Dark Leaden, but it would look equally amazing as added to any of the brights to create a new, slightly less saturated hue. Just imagine it with Islington Padparadscha pink!
I must admit that adding this to the roster of Kettle yarns is a bit of a selfish move on my part as I desperately wanted some for a Magnolia from the latest issue of Laine Magazine, Issue 4! This stunning jumper by Camilla Vad uses a strand of lace with a strand of fingering weight yarn
There are so many patterns out there that uses mohair/silk blends. Now just to find them all!

The Atlantis large bag is still out of stock with my supplier, but I did manage to get some of the small pouches!
Dive into an underwater world where enchanting merfolk search for treasures amongst tantalizing seaweed and a merman serves up a little gin! Shown here with Islington Sulphur. Keep your knitting notions, tools and everything else organised with this pouch!
