I’ve been doing a bit more shawl knitting this week and blocked my new Angel in the Making Shawl the other day (kit in shop). It is enormous and dramatic! I need to take some better shots, but here is a shot of it blocking. HUGE. I love it.
Some restocking in the shop this week – Beyul yak/silk/merino in Yurt – warm, heathered grey – shown below in my prized Veil of Leithen shawl. Islington DK in festive Neckinger green is also restocked. It is shown in Sumitra’s amazing Pavilion wrap.
I’ve loaded some new BAAbags to the shop this week. I am calling these my Gin & Tonic bags and they are made for people, like me, crazy about the gin! ;-P
Made with beautiful Japanese cotton canvas paired with organic mint drop fabric from Cloud9 for a refreshing large bag that fits a good sized jumper.
I decided to make some coordinating kits for easy gift giving with these that include a project bag, a project bag tag to keep projects safe and a 100g skein of bouncy, all rounder Twist fingering – 100% British Bluefaced Leicester yarn, perfect for socks, shawls or scarves.
Or you can upgrade the kit for the ultimate knitting gift by adding one of the beautiful, fair trade Ewe shawl pins (sorry shown with Buck below as waiting for shipment of Ewes arriving this week!).
Hoping the kits make for somewhat easier gift giving for non-knitters!
