Poet-ic Decisions

Islington from top left: Nori,  Kelp, Siren Call

What an AMAZING Poet Josiane has knit in Islington fingering, Blighty! From Laine Magazine, Issue 6 this has been on my radar for months.

Baskerville hues from top left: Dawn, Umbra and Umber

I’d been picturing this in Baskerville or Ramble, wooly like the original sample. Above  are three shades in Baskerville Exmoor Blueface, British Gotland and Silk I was considering.

Ramble hues from top left: Heather, Damson and Burdock

For the Ramble, my small-batch British-reared Romney / Shetland, I was hoping for a truly rustic feel to the lace, even more woolly than Laine’s sample.

But now after seeing Josiane’s amazing version in Isington I am torn. Do I go rustic, or super elegant? Can you imagine it in the three hues I’ve shown with hers above – Siren Call, Kelp or Nori? All three are restocked in the shop, which doesn’t help! Such a tough choice.
