Shiny, Happy…good stuff – March shop update

Islington Nutkin, Squirrelly and Light Squirrelly with Dungeness boat

Shop update day and this week I’ve new classic colourway Nutkin, a shimmering bronze, in fingering weight Islington for lighter spring knits. Above with Squirrelly & Light Squirrelly, the three would make a stunning neutral ombre. I’ve shown them below a lovely, tonally matching, old wreck from a recent trip to Dungeness beach.

Bloom with Islington Prunella, Nutkin and LotusA special treat this week… I’ve managed to get my hands on a few skeins of last year’s Lotus and Prunella  Islington Bluefaced Leicester/ Silk colourways – just in time for Easter.

There are 5 skeins of each of the purple and blue-pink now in shop for anyone who has missed these gentle hues (shown with Nutkin at centre).

Edinburgh Yarn Festival is finally next week and I’ve some fantastic new accessories and bags in stock for the show. Naturally I am sharing them all with you here first in case you can’t make it. If you are coming to the show and want to snag one of these before they sell out, just purchase and send me an email to let me know and I’ll reimburse you the shipping and bring it to you next week.

And as an added bonus all these new items are produced in ethical environments where workers are treated well and paid fair wages. A  percentage of the profit on the sale of this product-lines also goes to Education without Borders. Can’t beat that.

The project bags are made in my hometown of Vancouver, where a blissful triumvirate of glittering high-rise city, deep blue ocean, and green mountains combine to meld true wilderness with the best of city life. Escape to the great outdoors, even in the heart of big city life. Discover a cabin in a forest clearing, take a deep breath and head inside to stoke the crackling fire…

New Chop-Chop Notions Tray

Chop-Chop Notions Tray

I have a mere 4 of these lovely scissor trays to mail out. A delicately gorgeous china tray, it will help you keep track of all those little stitch markers and other bits and bobs you need at hand when working on projects in front of the telly. So pretty you can leave this out even when company comes ’round. Would also make a beautiful gift for a knitter/crocheter in your life.

All items are now in shop!

To all of you lovelies that have pre-ordered skeins of Baskerville – thank you for all your patience!

Just so you know I’ll have sent out all the 2nd batch orders this week. I will send the 3rd batch folks an email when I have a confirmed date of delivery from the mill and can estimate a dye date. Pre-orders for the 4th batch are still available on the shop. ;-*

[alert type=”info”]As usual the shop will be somewhat on ‘hold’ Mar 15 -21st while I’m away. Regular items will be on ‘back-order’ and I’ll see what stock is in and what needs replenishing and sending out on my return. Thanks all, and hope to see some of you at EYF! x[/alert]
